Building High-Performing Teams In High Stress Project Environments

Recorded Webinar

This session discusses the challenges and proven methods of developing diverse groups of people into teams in high-stress environments. The framework for the discussion is a real-life situation where the project team was asked to fully commission a hyperbaric chamber for a patient in critical condition awaiting care. The team assembled was led by a project manager and included both construction and healthcare professionals. This team had to risk their personal safety and endure extended work hours while under the physical, mental and emotional pressure of conducting testing inside an active hyperbaric chamber with their professional reputations on the line. The resulting success prompted the Chief Medical Officer of the hospital system to ask the team to lead the development of a template for the commissioning of all future medical equipment.
