DEIB Committee (formerly CODE)

Purpose, goals, and desired outcomes:

  • To propose and prioritize policy, strategies, and tactics to support Â鶹´«Ã½'s commitments to DEIB as reflected in the Strategic Framework, the Statement of Values, and the Policy Framework.
  • To promote, develop, and prepare Â鶹´«Ã½ members to build and sustain teams and work cultures that are open, diverse, welcoming, and inclusive.
  • To serve as a central resource and advocate for Â鶹´«Ã½ member resource groups.

Deliverable(s):

  • Focus24 education session content that is relevant to the theme and the learning level of participants;
  • ABOUT US2024 education session content that is relevant to the conference theme;
  • At least two articles for MCX on DEIB topics;
  • Annual DEIB Chapters' Jamboree (September);
  • Content for 2024 Leadership Summit.

Duration:
One year, no term limits.

Time commitment:
Monthly committee calls (1 hour); participation at national meetings (twice a year).

Eligibility:
Â鶹´«Ã½ member in good standing.

Requirements:
Knowledge of Â鶹´«Ã½ and general knowledge of design and construction industry and future trends.

Key success measurements:
Progress against charge(s); as reported to the board.

Committee/task force make up:
Chaired by a Voting Director; others appointed by the Chair of the Board of Directors.

Resources available to complete the project or task:
Resources identified by committee as part of meeting charge.
